We have two full Clydesdales (Rose and Belle) and one older 1/2 Clydesdale, 1/2 Thoroughbred mix (Ruby). The full Clydes are from Monarch Clydesdales in Baltic, Ohio. We use them mainly to drive -- pull a cart or a sleigh. Rose likes to run and play. Belle is fond of standing still and eating. Coming Soon! The story of Belle and the Eggs. Ruby is a dressage horse from Valley Watch Farm in Johnstown, OH. Ruby is Sally's riding horse. Clydesdales are draft horses -- generally larger horses used for work such as pulling. Drafts tend to be big, kind, gentle giants. There are few draft horse clubs near us:       The Western NY Draft Horse and Pony Club       Eastern Regional Draft Horse Association (Upstate NY Branch) There is also a national breeders organization:       Clydesdale Breeders of the U.S.A. We are not planning on breeding at this time. |         |
